The Ultra Course has been plotted out.

The Ultra will be 32 miles and will be on an out and back course that is 16 miles in length. So if you did not like going up the hill, maybe you will like going down it. When making this course, I tried to make it flow logically and tried to incorporate all the well known trails and hills above Hart Park. So this course will utilize Pistol Range, Power Line, Goodmanville, Cactus, Refrigerator, Toads, Rattlesnake, Hang Glider and Bastard.

Plus there will be new trails and hills used on this course like the Badlands, X-Toads, Lujan Lookout, Water Tank, Fossil, and Moses.

Start and Finish.
The 32 mile Ultra will start at the bottom of the Sheriff's Pistol Range Hill. This is a wide fire road that will give the field a chance to thin out before it hits the first single track section at the top of this hill. This single track section is short but does have some tight turns on it and a nice short hill that leads to a mostly downhill trail to the Goodmanville trail.
Turn right and head to Goodmanville.

View off  the Goodmanville trail.

So in the first couple miles, the course is rolling up and down but mile 3 is all up the Goodmanville trail.

This single track twists and turns up a canyon and then leads out to an exposed ridge that overlooks Alfred Harrell Highway. Please use caution when going up this trail and especially use caution going down it because it will be mile 30 of the Ultra by then.

After climbing to the top of Goodmanville, you are at the top of Power line and enter the Badlands. This area is at least flat but a little ugly. It looks like it was a quarry of some sort back in the day. The course stays along the fence line for the most part and follows the perimeter of the Badlands then it heads back to the Power line summit.

Power line is a nice wide fire road that drops 300 feet in a mile but don't worry you will get to go up it shortly. when Power line flattens out, you get on Dalke trail which is a single track trail that takes you about two thirds of the way back up Power line before it joins Dorsh trail that is a single track trail that takes you to Cactus trail.

Too be continued ...
